About Me
It is very difficult to write about yourself. But here goes: I am a woman in my late twenties who likes to think that she is still in her early twenties. I have been married to the most amazing man for just under a year and couldn't be happier. I am close with my family and they are very important to me. I have a lovely job/ career which is my passion and tends to keep me very busy but I do get weekends and holidays which is when I do most of my cooking.
In terms of how I cook, I like to really perfect dishes and make them unique and different. I enjoy experimenting with food especially with the presentation. I use a lot of spices and a lot of different, usually strong flavours and especially garlic. Most of the food that you will see here will be taken from other websites or books, and adapted and (for my tastes at least) improved. I have tried to make sure that all credit is given where credit is due, but if I have taken anything from you without credit, please do contact me and I will try to sort it out.

History of Cooking
My relationship with food and cooking has been a long and winding journey.
I have fond memories of baking with my dad on occasional weekend afternoons, usually making foul looking cakes dyed black with bright green icing. I remember helping to make home-made salad dressings out of a range of cupboard condiments when we had a BBQ. When I started secondary school, I did Food Technology and took it onto GCSE level. However I honestly see that as more creating a product and a brand rather than learning to cook. Although I did make a very nice rice salad and a three coloured mashed potato. I moved out of home for a year when I started university, and managed to survive on a family risotto recipe, fajitas and pasta in pesto alongside sandwiches and cereals. There was no great cooking at this point in my life.
When I met my husband, I would have counted myself as someone who could not cook. In fact, I did count myself as someone as who couldn't cook. He loved (and still does) cooking and one of his favourite things to do was to cook and be in the kitchen preparing a meal for friends and family. Naturally I began to cook with him (and steal all of the raw mushrooms) and began to enjoy the process of cooking and experimenting with separate foods. That being said, it still took another three or four years until I was able to experiment and try new recipes on my own.
