I'm apologising for two things here: one- that this post has absolutely nothing to do with food, but I needed to write it so here it is. And two- I haven't posted in far, far, far too long.
I have been busy but that is no excuse. And I have been cooking so get prepared for some yummy posts including my flavour pot, cheese and parma ham twists, tear and share bread, spouffle (not a typo) and toad in the hole. They are all coming your way very soon.
The reasons for my lack of posts recently are below.

The other reason for my complete lack of posts has been this gorgeous girl who very recently came into my life. She was 8 weeks old in this picture and is the most lovable affectionate animal that I have ever met. She is happiest when with people and outside of her cage, roaming the house (she is a house rabbit at present but soon to be moving outside into the garden) and licking whoever she can find! But, she really does hate when she does not have complete attention, including when I am using my laptop to write posts, or even my phone. Those of you with rabbits (or pets in general) will know that it is crucial for their development and long term training to spend as long as possible with them at the early stages. So I have been, | Hubby and I treated ourselves to an allotment. We are so excited about this, and really looking forward to growing our own food. It's also great fun, out in the sun, working hard. But it is time consuming, especially at the weekends when we can spend up to twelve hours there (I know, we are mad!). I would recommend getting an allotment to anyone. Even if you have a garden, it is still nice to have an area purely for veg growing. I'm sure in the coming months I will bore you with our produce and pictures of apples on the tree etc! |
There will be posts very shortly. I have some time off work coming up and will line up a good selection of posts, all on topic and to do with food, so that I don't have this problem again. But, can you really blame me with these two fantastic distractions?
